The Washington State Park Rangers Association (WSPRA) was chartered in 1981 to serve as a professional service organization for employees of the Washington State Parks and Recreation Commission. Since 1981, WSPRA has grown to include members of other Washington State agencies and individuals outside of the Washington State government.
The objectives of this Association shall be to represent, advance, and to promote the interests and standards of the profession of Washington State Park staff and to provide a medium of exchange of professional thought, and to promote sound judgment, high-quality and economy in the planning, development, operation, and maintenance of facilities and services offered the public by the Parks and Recreation Commission.
WSPRA is a non-profit organization that has been able to assist and support members in times of need, disaster, grief, wellness, and education. WSPRA provides assistance through park and community projects, as well as materials for the Jr. Ranger Program.
WSPRA sponsors many family events that bring old friends back together and offers our families the opportunity to meet and get to know those we spend so much of our time with… other park employees.
